Service Description

**Kids Pottery — 4 Sessions** An ongoing pottery class for kids, built around four creative sessions over five weeks. Your first booking sets your weekly schedule. All remaining sessions will take place on the same day and at the same time each week, with a break in Week 4 for drying and firing. Drying and firing times may vary depending on the size and thickness of the pieces. No fixed term dates—join whenever it suits you. **Week 1 → Session 1: Let’s Meet the Clay! (Pinch Pots)** - Get to know clay and pottery tools. - Learn to shape clay using our fingers. - Make a small cup, bowl, or creature using the pinch technique. - Explore textures and have fun creating with our hands. **Week 2 → Session 2: Building Tall with Coils** - Roll clay into long coils. - Learn to stack and smooth coils to build different shapes. - Create a pencil holder, vase, or fantasy house. **Week 3 → Session 3: Cutting and Creating with Slabs** - Roll clay into flat sheets. - Cut shapes to make plates, wall hangings, or boxes. - Add designs, stamps, patterns, or names. **Week 4 → No Class — Drying & Firing** Our pieces need time to dry and be fired in the kiln before glazing. **Week 5 → Session 4: Painting with Glaze!** - Smooth edges and prepare finished pieces for glazing. - Learn how to apply ceramic glaze. - Add colors, patterns, and personal details to each creation. - Discover the finished pieces after the final kiln firing.
